Steel Palisade

An excellent security product

Steel Palisade is a very good deterrent to would be intruders. Basically a corrugated steel, the construction of the pale and the different tops provide a rigid barrier.
This is now one of the most popular forms of security fencing to be commonly utilised around commercial sites.

RSJ posts are set at 2.75m centres with angle horizontal rails fixed to the posts and pales fixed to the rails with permacone type nuts and bolts or rivets.

Steel Palisade is available in a range of heights:-

1.0m / 1.2m / 1.5m / 1.8m / 2.0m / 2.1m / 2.4m / 2.75m / 3.0m / 3.6m

Steel Palisade is available with a variety of pale tops. Triple pointed is used for securitySteel Palisade profile applications, the two outside points are splayed to give an anti-scaling effect. However, on heights below 1.8m, pointed tops are not recommended, so rounded and notched can be better suited.

Steel Palisade sectionThe pales used in steel palisade are corrugated and it is these corrugations that give the pales their strength. The greater the number of corrugations the stronger the pale. There are basically two types of corrugation (referred to as sections), ’D’ section and ‘W’ section. One manufacturer has produced their own particular variation to the ‘W’ section and has used additional corrugations to the edges of the pale, thus creating a very strong pale, the Ultra ‘W’ Section. Each pale then comes in a variety of steel thicknesses, 3mm ‘D’ section is the most popular and complies with the British Standard for general purpose fences, 2.5mm ‘W’ section is a comparable price and also conforms to the standard.

Steel palisade is galvanised after manufacture, but can be polyester powder coated in a range of colours.

For High Security applications barbed wire extensions and coiled razor wire can be added to the top. An additional rail can be added to the bottom to prevent bending of the bottom oversail and concrete sills can be installed.
