R.M. Smith Fencing

Charitable and Green

Our activities in the community and wider world

At R M Smith Fencing Ltd we understand how important it is to support others and we enjoy giving help financially or otherwise to local good causes.

We are proud to have supported a Ringwood Comprehensive School pupil to visit Kenya to carry out work in local communities. Jaydon did so well with his trip (pictured here) that we have supported another local pupil—Lynford to make the same trip.

Three company members, Neil, Lorrae and Janine, undertook the Three Peaks 24 Hour Challenge with the support of R M Smith Fencing Ltd and raised just under £1500 for Woofability—a local charity providing assistance dogs for the disabled—what a fantastic sum! R.M.Smith Fencing Ltd have also supported Janine in the Brighton Marathon and with the fantastic support of our supplier network have helped to raise further funds for Woofability.
After being approached by the Ringwood Infant School, R M Smith Fencing Ltd are providing the school with a driver and use of the new lorry to allow the children to enter a float in the Ringwood Carnival. A penguin float—but sadly no costume for Lyndon driving the lorry!

WE’RE GETTING GREENER! At R M Smith Fencing Ltd we believe that the key to successfully reducing your carbon footprint is the same ethos as good business practice.

  • Order only the quantities you need to complete the job
  • Store and utilise surplus material on other contracts
  • Minimise waste by forward planning the best and most economic use of materials
  • Diesel vehicles use less fuel
  • Recycle office waste—every piece of paper has two sides!
  • Providing the best product for the customer means providing a product with longevity

But coupled with the above, we source materials from sustainable sources and local suppliers where possible.
