About Us...

R.M.Smith Fencing Ltd can supply and or supply and erect a huge variety of fencing and gates for both commercial and domestic clients, and with the ability to manufacture in-house we are extremely versatile. R.M.Smith Fencing Ltd are based in Ringwood near Bournemouth we regularly work on contracts in, for example, Portsmouth, London, Newbury, Basingstoke, Reading, Gosport, West Sussex...but we will always go that little bit further - the south of England is our oyster!!

There are many different types of fencing / boundary / perimeter systems available today - too many to list here. You're best off giving us a call / e-mail / letter, and rest assured - we can probably help you!!

R.M.Smith Fencing Ltd was establised in 1963 by Rod Smith and his wife Janet. Through hard work and a real dedication Rod made the company a success. During the early eighties Rod's sons Lyndon and Ryan and his son-in-law Neil joined the company and with the same hard work and dedication they became quality erectors that helped continue the company's success. In the mid nineties Rod's daughter Janine joined the company and quickly became an inherent part of the team. During the early part of 1999, satisfied that the company was in safe hands, Rod took his retirement, although still remained as chairman and provided a consultation role. Sadly, Rod died in November 2000 from a cancer related illness. He is of course greatly missed but his family now have a renewed dedication to continue the successful running of the company

Over more than thirty five years of business we have seen and erected a huge range of fence styles. It is this experience and expertise that makes R.M.Smith Fencing Ltd a wise choice for fencing requirements. We have not only dealt with a large number of fencing manufacturers and suppliers, and are therefore familiar with a vast majority of the fencing products available, but we have dealt with a huge range of clients with a real variety of specifications. Hence, we are able to offer not only a competitive and professional service but we can be of real help when you or your client are considering fencing specifications.

Some of our erectors hold qualifications in, or are under training for, NVQ's in fence erection, now a requirement in many of the British Standards (Part 1722).
